First of all let’s go to the circles tool and drag on the keyboard using shift and Ctrl to create a perfect round circle. Let’s set this aside for now. Next select the Bezier pen tool in the left side tool bar. Click on the board, and additionally click and pull upwards to create a fin like triangular shape and then close the path. Saw blade logo design: Alignment

Resize the fin shape and place on top of the circle. Duplicate the fin shape by pressing Ctrl D. Next go to the top menu and press the button that says flip selected objects vertically, and beside it press flip selected object horizontally. Drag the inverted copy down to the bottom of the circle while holding Ctrl. As a result this will ensure the fin shape stays aligned. Let’s select both fin shaped and group them together temporarily. Select the grouped fins, and also select the circle. Finally go to the Align and Distribute tab and align vertically and horizontally.

Saw blade logo design: Duplicate it

Select the fin objects and select again to get the rotation handles. While pressing Ctrl, rotate the object one click and let go. Duplicate (Ctrl D) again, press Ctrl to rotate. Do this until the object is completely around the circle. Deselect everything. Select the circle, make a copy by pressing Ctrl D and set aside. Finally select the first circle and all other shapes and ungroup, then head up to Path-union.

Saw blade logo design: Path Difference

Place the circle on top of the saw blade. Shrink it smaller while pressing shift and Ctrl to maintain the perfect circle. Create another circle by pressing Ctrl D. Turn the fill off, and the stroke on in the Edit objects colours gradient panel. Make this circle larger as shown. With the stroke selected go to path-stroke to path. Select the circle and the saw blade and go to path-difference. Select the smaller circle and select the saw blade and go to path-difference.

Furthermore select the rectangle tool and create a rectangular shape across the bottom half of the saw blade. We will use this to cut the bottom portion off. Finally select both objects and go to path difference.

Hooray! You’re nearly done. If you wish to colour both sections, go to path-break apart. Colour the objects and add your favorite font.
