Select same fill colour
Inkscape has a neat function that allows you to select multiple fill, stroke or objects at the same time. This is super handy for hard to select or complicated graphics. Never again select items individually.

Select same fill colour: Make a selection
Here we have a wavy background consisting of multiple repeating colours. Yellow, blue, orange, brown. Wouldn’t it be neat to select all the yellow objects at once and change the colour quickly? Yes!
First of all select the yellow object.
Secondly, with the yellow object selected go to Edit-select same-fill colour.
Consequently all of your yellow object become selected. You should certainly see bounding boxes around all yellow fill colour objects.
With all the yellow colour objects selected, choose another colour. I’ve chosen another blue. Interesting!
Learn Inkscape 1.0
While there are some tutorials in this course, It is not the main objective. The lessons allow learners to understand the tools and why they are used.
Select same fill colour: Strokes & Objects
Additionally we can also select object types. Simply select one object then go to Edit-select same-object. All similar objects will become selected regardless of colour.
Why would we want this? Because perhaps we want to move all of these items away from other items. Also it is used to change colour or modify shape at the same time.
